I can think of three. The first Batman movie. Don’t remember if the copter crashed or not. Cliffhanger, in which it crashes. And one of the Improbable Mission movies, I think it was Jon Voight at the controls, who was apparently going to fly the entire length of the Chunnel to get Tom Cruise. He crashes. Are there any others? ---

Well, it was Jean Reno piloting. John Voight was merely offending every fan of the TV show by destroying the Phelps character. Apparently, Reno’s character forgot the release that’s right there on the stick. That’s why it’s there! To be fair, Reno only went into the chunnel because he forgot he can disengage the cable. He didn’t _intend_ to chase the train. ---

I would never think of that. I meant the copter trying to fly Jack Nicholson from the church tower, a scene which is not that much less stupid than the scene you cite.
