Hell no: Biden pardoning Trump (opinion piece in the Chicago Tribune)

It may not have deterred Trump. But it might have avoided the kind of seditious Senate GOP who violated their oaths they took to protect the Constitution, not their president, not their party.

If justice is only going to be served when it’s Not Messy (Perish Forbid, I Might Get the Vapors) the Constitution isn’t worth the paper it’s printed on.

Emeritus Syndrome strikes again (respected or semi-respected academic runs off the rails, typically in connection with something for which he/she has no qualifications or expertise).

Nixon when he was pardoned had enough sense to know that he was finished as a politician. Trump does not.
