Goo…GO TO BED. Sleep deprivation does strange things to people…has them singing obscure songs that should have died years ago while suffering from delusions of meglomaniacal grandeur. (Yes, I SAW what you did on G’Dope, you just wait until I tell Loaded…now Go To Bed!) ---

Just after my senior year in high school, the high school choir had the opportunity to travel to Romania and sing. So, we all packed up and went behind the Iron Curtain (ok, so that dates it - yes, it was back in the mid/late 70’s). And, our choir repetroir was made up mostly of medleys of show tunes, South Pacific, My Fair Lady etc. Imagine our horror when we found that we’d rarely get a piano to use w/our show and if the piano was there, it wouldn’t be in tune. We quickly improvised, since many of our folks had brought guitars, and revamped our show. _The Sounds of Silence_ was one of our best (IMHO), we developed our own harmony (which to this day, I sing instead of the melody). brings back fond memories. ah yes. ---
