# Hello From Scotland

Found an Internet cafe in Ballater. We have no Internet or mobile/ cell phone access in Inverey. Yesterday we drove to Aviemore over the Lecht pass and not surprisingly had a hell of a time with the snow. It was a foot deep on the roads- I learned to drive on ice very quickly. And pray a lot! It didn’t get above 1 degree until about 11 and didn’t get above 4 most of the day.

We love our cottage- an old school house a few hundred years old but is the place ever cold. The caretaker was saying last winter it was minus 20 quite often.
