As I mentioned elsewhere on this board recently, one of them has figured out how to get onto the top shelf of one of my kitchen cabinets by jumping from the counter to the top of the cabinet, stepping down to the top of the built-in microwave, then opening the cabinet door enough that he can get onto the top shelf. Then he curls up and sits there in the dark, safe from attack. ---

We’ve got a black cat that’s pretty bright, as cats go. He’s developed a pretty clever trick for opening the bathroom drawer where my wife hides her ponytail holders so he can steal them and play with them. ---

I don’t know how many of his claims HERE were true, but do a google search for “Ariovistus” “chimpout”, and you can find his posts over there. You have to register to do a search on all of them, but google provides a good bit. And the dumbest cat I ever had was a white long-haired. Go figure. Piper-Grace is all black, and she’s got her issues (pica) but she’s fairly bright. On the other hand, the worst BEHAVED cat I have is a white Siamese mix. (The smartest cats I’ve known tend to be orange) ---

Oh, I have the feeling they’ll get their’s someday. I’d say that I hope their kids would all marry black people – but do I want the kids to have to put up with the shit Mom and Dad will give them for it? Or for their grandkids to find out what Gramps and Gramma are like? ☹ (One guy was saying he was horrified when he found out that his wife turned out to be biracial – he didn’t know until they had a kid, and their son turned out looking black, and now he was totally disgusted by his own family.) ☹ ---

Actually, I got them as three or four week old kittens and had to bottle feed them for several days before they would eat solid food. My other cat, a middle-aged tuxedo, was tolerant of the invaders to his territory but refused to assist me in raising them. ---

Maybe he’s just pissed that the “pack of wild niggers\*” who “raped him” didn’t blow him before he got in the jacuzzi. And that scarred him for life. \*Note: this was one of the charming phrases Mel Gibson used on those infamous tapes. Please don’t think it’s something I’d make up. ---
