Hello, Ladyrose, and welcome. I’m glad you’ve got a sense of humor; don’t know how one can deal with today’s world otherwise. Some very funny people post to the Straight Dope Message Board (SDMB). The people who post here range from teenagers on up, and cover a pretty broad political spectrum. In the “Cafe Society” board you’ll find discussions dealing with just about any movie, play or book you’ve ever heard of; in the “Barbecue Pit” you can find a great deal of cursing and sometimes vicious arguments. Mostly, though, we’re a pretty friendly bunch, so I hope you find something to interest you. ---

I hope you don’t mind my moving your thread to MPSIMS, where introductions are usually first made. By the way, I find the Columbia River Gorge to be quite beautiful this time of year, 🙂 ---

Welcome, Ladyrose! It’s a nice little town you just moved into. Okay, maybe more than our share of Otis the Drunks and WAY too many Cliff Clavens, but nice. ---

Oh now. I love this, this is the kind of board I absolutely adore, one with a sense of humor and lots of great people, now I know that I will love it here. Thank you all so much for the wonderful welcome . I am not one for starting an argument, but I can hold my own in one, I am a Capricorn and as hard headed as one at time, so that might be interesting indeed. I am so looking forward to butting heads with a few of you and making some wonderful new friends here, thanks again gang! ---
