I mentioned upthread that Kevin Bacon (and Kevin Bacon’s lovely and talented wife, Kyra Sedgwick) have supported a number of charities. It might interest you all to know that Kevin Bacon actually started a charitable organization of his own, appropriately named “[SixDegrees.org](http://www.sixdegrees.org/)”. The [goal of the organization](http://www.sixdegrees.org/about) seems to be simply to [encourage support of charities](http://www.sixdegrees.org/news) in general, which is a very good thing in my opinion.
