Belated Happy Birthdays to **FCM** and **kai**! How to describe yesterday? Well, I got offered a job doing exactly what I’d want to be doing. It was to start immediately and continue into next school year. Unfortunately, when my would be supervisor went to get the final approval to hire me, she was told that they couldn’t guarantee that the job would last into next year and they wouldn’t know for sure for another 4 months. Normally this wouldn’t be a problem, but in order to take the job I would have to move a couple of hours away from where I live now. Honestly, it sounded awesome and all but I can’t uproot my whole life just to find myself unemployed again in 4 months. So, the search continues. Today I got a sub job, but then they cancelled school because it is -1F. So instead I think I will try to clean the house and then I’ll cross my fingers that RT makes it home today instead of tomorrow. 🙂 We’ll, **swampy** , I certainly hope you’re feeling better today. ---

Happy Firday. It was 15 degrees when I left the house. Had to bring the neighbors cat in again last night. Silly kitteh. I woke up at 2:30 in the AM and have not been back to sleep since. Major blurfage today. Tomorrow we shall obtain cheap rugs at Wally World so we can put them in the garage for Mr. Jynxster’s drums and my elliptical. ---

It is **-1.6 American degrees** outside. I was going to go out and get Polly Subaru inspected and go to the grocery store and pick up the next Vish Puri mystery from la biblioteca. I had some brekkies, purtified (well, I brushed my teeth, shaved and showered), took the meds and I’m still up. Maybe that’s a good sign. Also takin’ care of some irk stuff. I feel semi, sorta productive. Temps in the single digits and temps with a minus in front are not allowed down heah. ---

My ribs hurt. Oh God, how they hurt. I can’t play the clarinet and I’m supposed to practice for a show in two weeks. Can I recover? I’m really, really worried. I think I may go to the hospital tomorrow. So worried. ---

**Midget** if it hurts that bad, go get it checked out, ok? I’m glad I stayed in da cave today. I just went out and got the mail. Even in a thick sweatshirt, sweatpants, and socks plus shoes, the wind was quite brisk. I got a brrrrr just walkin’ down the drive to the mailbox and back. On the upside I think I have all I need for my tax return now. I shall call tax guy and get me an appointment. Yeah, I pay to get my taxes done. He’s good plus I hate to do taxes so it’s worth the eighty bucks. Also, I have a lot less of a cough this mornin’. YAY! ---

I’m glad you’re feeling slightly better this morning,\*\* Swampy.\*\* I have never, ever had pneumonia, walking or otherwise. Guess I’m lucky. Get your ribs checked out,\*\* Emily.\*\* It’s about 35 degrees and foggy here. It’s my RDO, and I should be getting ready to go out and run some errands. I know I’ll do it because I am out of my good, strong coffee and had to settle for a medium roast today. And, there was only one of those. All that’s left is my husband’s foo-foo coffee. I need me some strong coffee, damn it! We went and checked out a new restaurant last night. It was pretty decent; it’s a pub and grill type of place, but their burgers were pretty damn good. We sure didn’t leave hungry and they do not skimp on the booze in their drinks. ---

**Swampy** , I think I’ve had every variation of pneumonia there is, except for the one they actually hospitalize you for. Go lay down. 🙂 **Midget** , bruised ribs hurt like a bitch and there is, unfortunately, not much you can do about them–but let a nice doctor tell you that. **Sticky** , that sucks about the job uncertainty. But moving everything only to find out your contract won’t be renewed would suck a lot more. The last button that held my coat closed just gave up the ghost. I was already thinking that my coat isn’t warm enough for the winter we’ve been having, and it seems that the coat agrees. ---

The main thing i’m worried about is my ribs not healing in time for the shows. That theatre group is a large part of my life, and has been for the past 9 years, and I’d be terribly unhappy without it. ☹ ---

Midget, I just finished getting over hurting my own ribs. Tripped over my own two feet and “caught” myself with a shopping cart. It took 3-4 weeks for it to heal and I had to rely on Mr. Jynxster to do alot so I could quit straining/re-injuring them. About a week and half into it they felt like they got worse, but then they finally started getting better. Still have very minor twinges but mostly ok. Injured myself on 31-Dec, started finally feeling better about begning of this week. Sorry for the not so encouraging news. Try to let others help you do stuff and rest as much as possible. Will greatly increase the healing time. ---
