It was a high of 27° with 2-3" of snow today & I drove about 200 miles, most if it after dark, much of it on curvy 2-lane roads with no shoulder or street lights as I had banquet dinner in the **Drae** borhood. Even where you could see the road surface you couldn’t be sure if the sheen was wet or ice. I should be in bed but am destressing with my medicinal buddy, Jimmy Beam (he’s medicinal b/c he’s got honey in him). Oh yeah, came home with a 2nd place prize! 🆒 _Yeah, definitely should be in bed because I just heard the squeaky screen door open slowly & then close slowly a few seconds later. :eek: WTF? Who the ‘ll is trying to get into my house at 1-sumpin’ after midnight? Grabbed the big-ass knife from the kitchen & went to check it out but it appears that it was only Mr. Wind. :smack:_ Also, I’m pissed at my buddy. :mad: I said that I’d come & go swimming with him today **if** we could make snow angels afterwards & he agreed, in electronic writing, even. I showed up, I paid my money to the charity, but _no_, he forgot to bring a change of clothes with him. :mad: His excuse was that he went in last year. :rolleyes: I was already there & paid so I went a-[del]swimin’[/del] plungin’ (thanks emergency services workers for breaking up the ice near the shore so we could go [del]swimin’[/del] plungin’ in the 26° river), I came out & made my snow angel in the nice fresh snow, wearing only my swim trunks & sandals (‘cause goin’ in with clothes is cheatin’; footwear is allowed to prevent cuts from shells, rocks, & other on-the-bottom debris). Also, he didn’t get good video of me makin’ said snow angel so I made another one for the teevee news cameraman, but I heard that they didn’t show it. So that’s **two** snow angels but **zero** videos. ☹ _ETA: Medicine in the glass is consumed; time for beddybye._ G’nite. ---

We ran out of pellets over night so it was cold in the house this morning. When I let Higgs out to pee, I brought in another 40# and got the stove restarted. I also turned up the thermostat on the furnace because my sweetie was freezing. Still taking bets on whether he’ll go to the doc tomorrow or not… I finished my scrap afghan last night, but I still have tons of scrap yarn left. I’ve decided to keep this scrap box going - as I accumulate more, I’ll add them to the mix. Meanwhile, I think I’ll make a shawl next, just for variety. I’ll have a bunch of stuff to take to Mom’s next time I go. Today’s plans include the last load of laundry, and crocking up a chickie recipe that \*\*BBBobbio \*\*posted on FB yesterday. As for the rest of the time, I’ll wing it. It’s supposed to hit mid 30s today, but late tomorrow another stoopit cold front is barreling thru. Winter sucks. And **Spidey** , you seem like such a normal person, but this snow angel thing has me rethinking my evaluation. :dubious: Happy Sunday!! ---

I talked to Princess Cruise lines yesterday and found out that you can’t make reservations for shore excursions before 180 days ahead of the cruise. So I googled “180 days before Aug 27 2014” - that would be Feb 28. You truly can google anything! 😃 Anyway, I’ve got a reminder set in Outlook. I want to get all the reservations in right away to ensure we get to go/do what we want. First 2 I’ll set up is the [Guinness](http://www.guinness-storehouse.com/en/Index.aspx)tour for mom and the [Falkirk Wheel](http://www.thefalkirkwheel.co.uk/) for me. Then I’ll get the other 20 or so. 😃 ---

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and, well, caffienated, brekkied, and purtified for deheathenization already. 'Tis 32 Amurrkin and foggy out with a predicted high of 62 for the day. It may cloud over later in the day and get rainy. We shall see. Anywho, OYKW is abed cause he’s tahrd and does not want to go deheatenate. Thus I shall go deheathenate with the Luteruns at nine o’ clock. I haven’t done that in a while so why not. Also, I has a pot roast goin’ in the slow cooker with little N.O.T. and carrots. It should be ready for N.O.L. Sounds like a good Sunday N.O.L. kind of thing to eat to me! And GO ME for gettin’ it goin’. Ok, that’s all I got. JC on a pogo Stick!!! I paid my truck off when I refinaced Just now I get a text message for some collection place wanting to take the payment out of my account plus a 10.95 courtesy fee. I try to call the number and they are closed on Sunday so I can’t get any information. The thing is, I NEVER paid through one of the collection places, I had it taken directly from my account so I didn’t have to pay a fee. Now I can’t call the (expletives) until tomorrow. I’m pissed NOW! ---

Courtesy cour·te·sy noun, plural cour·te·sies. 1. excellence of manners or social conduct; polite behavior. 2. a courteous, respectful, or considerate act or expression. 3. indulgence, consent, or acquiescence: a “colonel” by courtesy rather than by right. 4. favor, help, or generosity: The costumes for the play were by courtesy of the local department store. 5. a curtsy. That word does not belong with ‘fee’, especially a fee charged by some sneaky (expletives). Hope you get it sorted out soon **Sari**! Work rained off again today (rugby, pitch again too wet to play- this is one of the wettest winters on record, just my luck). Had just decided that hey, at least I could go to juggling club, 'cos the hall for tomorrow’s is booked, so we’re just playing board games in the pub, but I’m learning something I need to practice with a partner, when my boss texted to ask if I could work a few hours in the stoopid empty car park we patrol. It starts the same time the session ends, at the other side of town. I replied asking if I could possibly, pretty please, switch to another night this week? (I never seem to get work in the week, and I was all happy about going juggling, which I almost always miss now), got a ‘I’ll see what I can do’ reply, and I’ve heard nuttin’ since. It’s now time to head out, and I still don’t know if I’ll be having to drop everything and head to work midway through… I think I’ll just bring my uniform and see how it goes. ---

I’ve got dinner/supper cooking in the crock pot right now - we’ll see how it goes. 3 chickie tits chunked up, a container of pineapple chunks with their juice, a little bit of water, 1/3 cup of soy sauce, and 1/2 cup of brown sugar. A couple of hours before it’s done, I’ll add some baby carrots. And it’ll be served over rice. Hope it’s good - it’s a recipe \*\*BBBobbio \*\*shared on FB, so if it’s bad, it’s his fault!! 😛 ---

I went over to Irish Storyteller’s last night. He took me out for a belated birthday hot chocolate in downtown God’s Waiting Room. Big Fat Durwood Cat let me rub his belly and Shy Adam Cat actually made an appearance! :eek: We introduced his cousin, birthdate 1993, to the horrors of Hee-Haw. 😃 There were threats of Lawrence Welk, but we decided not to follow through on that. Kids these days don’t know what we had to suffer through. ---

Home and all deheathenated Luterun style. Although I wonder if it’s one hunnert percent. See, the ECUSA and the ELCA have what is called “A Call To Commonon Mission” or sump’n like that. Thus Luterun Ministers and Whiskypalian Priests can preside at each others services and the like. So, YP presided and the service was Luterun. Is it still a sorta hybrid Luterun/Whiskypalian service then? Anywho, 'twas a good service with Luterun Liturgy. Plus I’m at da cave before eleven a.m. even! Pot roast is smellin’ yummerific. I say we shall feast within the hour. Gonna go do up some butterbeans and some cornbread muffins as well. ---

To save my Googling and to make conversation, what are the differences between Lutheran and Episcopalian belief? I should imagine that they are closer than Reform and Orthodox Judaism, for example. 🙂 ---

Happy Taterversary! Busy weekend over here at Casa del Fae, had lunch with a friend yesterday and then went to get my hair cut, made something yummy for dinner involving chicken, peppers, beans, garlic, ginger and a few other bits, and watched “2 Guns”. I did a workout and felt really bad afterwards, it’s hard work and there’s one exercise in there that is designed for contortionists, one of which I am most certainly not. Today I vacuumed, cleaned the window sills, changed the mogs’ litter tray, made shepherd’s pie for dinner later, did the workout again (slightly better effort at the contortions) and am planning to have a bath next as part of my post-workout recovery. Holiday planning continues, looks like Vegas in December for me! ---
