Hope you’re feeling better, **Nava**. May **Bobbio** ’s divorce from his gall bladder be uneventful. It was a holiday today, so I’ve had three days of getting out of bed after the sun is up. I’m looking forward to more of that, later. I finally had the octopus balls for dinner. The boy bought them (frozen) weeks ago and for some odd reason we’ve never had a night since then where everyone felt like trying octopus balls. But they were gone this weekend (the boy and girl, not the balls), and I was tired of them taking up space in the freezer (the balls, not the boy and girl). You know what? Octopus balls are mostly rice. Two small cubes of octopus in the center (half the size of dice). They smelled strongly of fish, but didn’t taste much like fish. I could taste a little ginger. Mostly they tasted of mushy rice. They were OK. I microwaved them instead of frying or baking them, which the boy claims was not giving them their best shot to impress. But I was not looking to be impressed so much as I wanted to eat something simple and make room in the freezer. So I am content. ---

Up early on my non-working snow day, but it’s sorta voluntarily. \*\*FCD \*\*tended to the dog when she started fussing, then my bladder started fussing, then the dog started again, so I just got up. I looked at the weather radar, and the bad stuff could start here in a few hours - we shall see. \*\*rosie \*\*- alas, there is no chocolate button. My own fault for getting a cheapie go-phone. 😛 **sari** , if you do decide to move to WV, how will we ever meet??? :eek: Oh yeah, Ram’s head. Nice venue, if small. That’s where we saw Paula Poundstone, which was cozy. I also saw Paul Revere and the latest batch of Raiders, and it was decidedly too tiny for that - my ears were ringing within minutes. So, **Jim** , are youse guys highly amplified?? Incidentally, if several of us decide to go, we need to do the reservations together so’s we can get adjacent tables. Just a thought… I think part of today will be spent getting ready for my next afghan. I’m going to do a fairly standard chevron style, but I’ll work it with 2 strands at a time and I’m just going to connect random scraps together to use up the leftover bits that are too small for much of anything but too big to toss. I’ve done a similar afghan before, and it came out rather nice. With luck, I’ll rid myself of most of my dribs and drabs. Other than that, we’re going to run to Lowe’s since \*\*FCD \*\*needs some plywood. We were going to go to the gym, but the college has already canceled classes for today, so the fitness center will be closed. Dammit. Oh well… Happy Tuesday! Think warm thoughts! ---

Happy Toosday! I woke too early because it’s hot in here. According to my phone it’s 34 outside but it didn’t feel that cold when I let the dog out. The air felt refreshing. It’s supposed to get down to 7 degrees today. I hope I don’t have to go out. Today is pizza day and laundry day. Usually everybody goes out in Toosday but I suspect they’ll all stay home today. Too bad. **BBBobbio** WV is the way I am leaning. **FCM** I’ll probably still be here in the armpit in March. Even if I find a house this week, by the time I get the contract in and wait for closing and all, well I can’t move overnight. I didn’t know octopussies have balls. **Midget** brrrrrrr ---

To work or not? I am in pain. I took two Percocet about two hours ago amd an 800 mg Motrin. Should I try to go to irk? According to the powers that be I should be able to return today. It’s just crampy pain but pain non the less. I had a holiday yesterday but still… Waiting to hear from you all. ---

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffienatin’. _YAWN_ ‘Tis 42 Amurrkin out with a predicted high of 58 for the day and windy. However, a cold front is comin’ on throgh so we shall see temps below freezin’ at night for the next few days. ICK! Ok, that’s all I got. I need more caffiene and to feed rumbly tummy. My mom and 2 sisters are going on a cruise starting today. They should all be safely on board before the worst of the snow hits, so that’s good. I wouldn’t mind going on a cruise, but my one and only visit to the Caribbean was quite enough for me. I know some people love it - like my mom, but I wasn’t impressed. Each to his own I suppose. ---

Morning all, We be getting anywheres between 2-4 inches. We all gonna die! It was 63 degrees yesterday and tomorrow the high will be 24. Supposed to start during the commute home. Joy. Just remembered we dont have a snow shovel. We have been trying to buy one for 3 years but apparently they dont sell them this far south. I think I am gonna haft to bite the bullet and buy one online. That just seems wrong somehow. ---

Haven’t left for irk yet. I feel kinda bad. Doesn’t seem to be sinus or allergy related but my haid feels like it’s stopped up and I’m kinda spaced out. I may just decide to call it an irk from home day cause I’m a little nervous about drivin’. Just checked my temp and I do have a low grade fever. Maybe I got a cold commin’ on. ICK! ---

According to the Weather Channel, snow’s not even going to start here till noon-ish. So I could have gone into work after all. Oh well - not going now. But the real fun is that tonight’s low is supposed to be EIGHT DEGREES!!! C’mon spring!! ---

Where I live, we’re far enough west of the lake (Michigan) that we don’t get beaten upon by the ‘lake effect’ snow (Hi **rigsy**!!), so we only got an inch or two but it’s pretty windy and so it’s blowing all over making the roads a crap shoot. Mostly it’s really cold, which is the single thing I hate the most - being cold. Anywho - it’s Monday for me since we had the day off yesterday, so Yay - i’ts my MMP! ---

I woke up last night with Intestinal Distress and I’m still pretty weak and shaky. However, I must get my Southerner Card restamped and go to The Walmarts today before Snowpocalypse Mark 3. It’s starting to snow here. It looks grey and dreary and windy outside. It’'s 9:30am and I need the light on because it’s so dark outside. Unless I get a call to let hellpup out I don’t need to go out and I won’t. I feel cold just looking outside. **Butters** stay home. Unless it will get you fired, but how good are you going to be on pain meds anyway? I guess my mother and her bf won’t be going bowling today. That sux, I like for them to be out when I do laundry. ---
