[“Come Back to Erin”](http://www.prof.co.uk/irish/lyrics/come_back_erin.htm) is a traditional song. I can’t remember if the operatic bit was from “The Barber of Seville” or not. ---

I was singing along right from the start to “Hello, My Baby,” but not because I know it from the Michigan T. Frog cartoons. In about fourth grade or so (c. 1960), we had one of those classroom talent shows, and three friends and I decided we’d do a barbershop quartet thing. Our moms helped us with the costuming (striped shirts, garters on the sleeves, painted on mustaches, etc.), and somehow I had an album called “The Four Roses Sing Barbershop Favorites” – put out as a promotional thingee by the folks who made Four Roses whisky. So we got up in front of the class and lip-synched to this song and a couple of others. I have no doubt that we were really “cute.” Anyway, I can still hear “Hello, My Baby,” just the way they sang it, in my head all these years later. ---

All I remember of the “McCloskey” song is the last two lines: _And future generations with wonder and deliiiiiight Will read on history’s pages of The Great McCloskey Fight!_ I’d sure like to know how the middle part goes. Those two verses are all the frog sings of the McCloskey song, Tygr. From the sound of it, those verses seem to fit together–I don’t think there’s anything between them. Next: _I want to play things, A dolly or two_ ---
