And then there are those people whose schedules you can never keep up with. Even people who are close have a tough time keeping track of a schedule that runs in a 56-day cycle of 12-hour shifts, 2 on, 2 off, 3 on, 3 off, 5pm-5am, and then rotating back to day shift. Plus dog training on random days/times, court appearances, etc. So if you needed to share info with my husband, texting would really be the best bet unless you’ve charted his schedule…
I also appreciate getting a “call when you have a minute, I’d like to talk to you but I don’t want to interrupt” text instead of a phone call when I’m trying to juggle kids, dogs, naptimes, etc. Nothing is more annoying than a ringing phone that jolts an almost-asleep baby back to wakefulness! And I appreciate a “Mom, don’t forget to pick up poster board” text instead of rushing out of the shower and dripping all over the floor just to get that in a phone call.
