# Help finding old thread (home hair removal)

You know the one: a Doper tells the tale of her attempt to remove leg hair using a home “cold waxing” kit, in such a way that everyone reading it was wheezing and weeping with laughter. Then a year or so later, she finds that it’s become one of those forwarded-to-everyone internet legends.

I tried searching for it the other day, to no avail, to point out to my father-in-law where it originated (as he, indeed, had forwarded to me as part of his self-appointed joke-a-day mission). I fear it got lost in the great archival effort ☹

Indeed it is!

The version that’s being sent around is funny, but not nearly as witty as the original. The language has been cleaned up and tweaked :mad: .
