# Help ID Skeletal Remains (no rush)

The neck vertebrae look more correct, too; the ribcage on the monkey skeletons seemed to sit higher.

I would have to say the bone structure and size would reasonably attribute to something the size and relative species of a possum. Ive put together a few skeletal remains including a opossum, and ruling out it is any primate because of the pelvic girdle i still say possum maybe? Also posssibly a mutant otter?

No. First, opossums (and otters) are not found on St. Martin. Second, the leg bones are wrong.

This thread was started in March of 2011 after our January 2011 visit. We’ve been back in 2012, 2013, and 2014 and saw green monkeys each time. Prior to 2011 we had no idea there were monkeys on the island.
