I borrowed this book from the front desk of a motel, in Sunnyvale, CA-about 1997. It turned out to be a great story-about a guy who was a bootlegger (imported booze from Canada) in the 1920’s. He made a pile of dough-then lost it (got into a fight with a rival). anyway, the story was fascinating-wish i had taken that book!
Anybody have a clue?
