Around new years 2009, a friend and I were passing through Vegas on a road trip. We gambled at the Belagio and wanted to grab a quick bite before we took off across the desert towards Phoenix. The place we got food from was a fast food joint that put sloppy Joe meat (or barbecue as we call it in the midwest) on everything. I had something to the tune of a bacon cheeseburger with sloppy joe meat on it. Ring a bell to anyone? ---

The funny thing is, the only reason I felt like looking into this, and subsequently discovered that thread, was also due to drinking so much. ---

Grew up in Milwaukee, had plenty of relatives in Illinois, and now live in Minnesota. I don’t know of anyone that calls sloppy joe meat “barbeque”. Barbeque is ribs, brisket, pulled pork sandwiches, etc.
