Did it have Dustin Hoffman in it? And Jane Fonda? And Judge Reinhold? Was there a chase after a parrot that had stolen an important document? Was it directed by John Huston? I think it was one of the _Beethoven_ movies. Either that or _Davy Crockett and the River Pirates_. ---

Look, it’s a FILM, not a movie. One could fill an entire library with your cinematic ignorance. It’s obvious you were all distracted by the multiple instances of frontal nudity and graphic orgies that you missed the entire subtext portrayed via the mise en scène. Still, it’s one of our favorite family movies around the holidays. ---

It’s one of those movies you really have to see at the cinema, preferably on a 70mm print. The whole experience would be wasted at home. ---

I thought I knew what the movie was, but the one I’m thinking of had a woman and a man, and they did some other stuff instead, and it ended differently. Plus, it insisted on itself. ---
