# Help identify this insect, found in Cascade mountains

Saw about 3 of these near the Stuart Range of the Cascade mountains. Elevation about 6000ft. They seemed to be hanging out on the ground underneath the trees in the morning, did not see them at any other time of day.
This was the largest, and was maybe little over an inch long without antennae. I’ve thought it was some sort of cricket, but doesn’t look like them at all. Not a clue what it is. Any ideas??

Kinda hard to tell from that angle, but I’m guessing [camel crickets](http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rhaphidophoridae).

It sure is unusual looking. It may just be the picture, but its body looks like that of an arachnid. I’d be interested to see what it is.
