Technically, I’ve screwed up my imitation lava lite by taking out the glass globe and shaking it… (it looked so pretty.) Now almost all of the mysterious gunk is solidified at the bottom, with a little bit floating at the top. (I’m no thermodynamics genius, but shouldn’t that sink???). The lamp has been on well over 3 hours now, and no movement. ---

keep it on all night…chances are it will eventually get hot enough to start moving again, and your brother won’t know the difference.
