# Help me change my settings - PLEASE!

I have no idea how it happened, but,…my computer is stuck in 16 color setting (I have windows 98)
I try to change to 256 and when it restarts - it goes right back to 16.
There may be more than that ‘messed up’ with my PC. For example - all my pictures are very ‘grainy’ and my fonts and icons are very large now. Like I’ve said, I’ve tried toi change the color settings. I’ve also tried to change my destop theme but neither one works - everything is still big and ‘grainy’. Can anyone help?

The first thing to do is to go to the Device Manager - right-click the My Computer icon, and select Properties from the drop-down menu. In the device listing, find the entry for your video adaptor and delete it. Then restart Windows. Windows will then redetect the hardware and attempt to reinstall the drivers for it. Before you do this, you may wish to go to the website of your video card manufacturer and download the newest available drivers. If this doesn’t work, we’ll try some other things.
