I understand what you’re trying to say, but I don’t think it will work. I have no kids, though I do have a number of nieces and nephews. I like to think I’m the cool uncle, it’s a job I’m well suited for and I think I do it well. Kids tend to like me because when I talk to them, I take what they are saying seriously rather than talking down to them. Nobody, of any age, likes to be patronized. But these days talking to anyone under eighteen without their parents explicit permission will likely end with you getting Tasered. ---
