In the first _Ultimates_ comic, Steve, on waking up in the modern world, and meeting Nick Fury, immediately starts punching doctors - because he’s good friends with the highest ranking black guy in the US army, and he’s only a staff sergeant, so _clearly_ this is some kind of poorly-researched Nazi trick.
