# Help me configure Adblock

I’m running Firefox 1.0.6 and have installed Adblock.

Lately, when I use sites like the IMDB and CNN and click on a link (on CNN) or do a search (on IMDB), I see the line “Connecting to [servedby.advertising.com](http://servedby.advertising.com)”. This causes the site to hang up for a minute or more.

Can I use AdBlock to get rid of this problem?

I can’t say for certain, but I don’t seem to have that problem on either of those sites.

I installed [Adblock Filterset.G](https://addons.mozilla.org/extensions/moreinfo.php?id=1136) a couple of months ago and I’ve been really pleased with it. It automatically blocks most of the common ad sites and images, and updates itself every week.

I highly recommend it to anyone that has Adblock installed.

Word of warning, Filterset. G has a line blocking Amazon and the other book sites. I have occasionally had a problem with those sites until I deleted that line. Not often but once in a while.
