Help me defend the Moon landing!

Those are the BEST kind!

This is like defending against 9/11 or Earth-is-Flat CTs. It’s futile.

can he prove that not enough Tang and water could be taken? he would need no other proof.

:dubious: Excuse me? Widgets to detect the loss of air pressure in tires? C’mon, what is this, Buck Rogers in the 25th Century or something? We clearly don’t have the technology to somehow magically detect a loss of air pressure in a tire! I mean, how would that even work?!?

Earlier this year, my car had a slow leak in one of her tires. I didn’t personally notice the tire had gone flat; the first I knew about it was when I started her up and the “low tire pressure” warning light lit up. Clearly, my car is a witch. She’s one of the good witches though, like Samantha, not the Wicked Witch of the West or something.

Good point!

Here’s a video opining that we didn’t have the technology to fake it at the time:

Thank you! That was really fun. My best friend’s mom believes that the moon landing was faked. (Well, that was years ago, but it shocked me as a teenager!)

We don’t have technology to go to the moon today. The Saturn V could put 45 tonnes into Lunar Orbit, the best systems today can put about 30 tonnes in low earth orbit. That’s right, the Saturn V could put a 50% heavier payload to the moon than what can be done into LEO today. Why did they ever stop making those thing I’ll never know. :frowning:

To the OP. Ask your cousin to get his head around this engineering issue.

Although admittedly that leaves Apollo 9 to be explained.

Because the engineers that the US used weren’t weak-minded ninnies who spend their time thinking that f=m*a won’t work and waste away their lives with conspiracy theories and circular arguments. It is far more documented that the US put men on the moon than you idiot cousin has an engineering degree. His piece of paper is a forgery. Nobody as stupid as him could have actually graduated high school, much less gone to college.

Not really.

I’ll admit that a few years ago when all this fake moon landing stuff came out, and being a bit of a conspiracy buff, I slightly fell for it. Meaning that I wondered if maybe NASA might have faked at least one moon landing?

But now with the Japanese satellite photos and all I am sure every moon landing was right on the money.

Yep. I’m a software engineer, so I can say with some confidence that that’s impossible.

…and you are part of the conspiracy. Nice try, but you’ll never convince me. NEVER.

Despite my mockery above, I think some are.

You can be very intelligent yet be ignorant of certain things / have blind spots. Especially if you start to think of yourself as smart (and therefore immune to believing in nonsense).

If I had the time I’d research a list of eminent believers in BS CTs.

We didn’t have the engineering to land on the moon, but we had the engineering to land on the moon?

Getting people there and safely back isn’t the same thing as dropping a payload. I’m not sure if we could have sent some robotic system to place the mirrors but the requirements are quite different.

Actually according to this list it seems we did land non-manned craft on the moon prior to sending people.

I’m old enough to remember the unmanned Luna, Surveyor, and Ranger landers.

Aligning the mirror was something that required human hands and our robotics technology just wouldn’t be up to snuff.

Today we could probably do it if we wanted, robotics has undergone massive improvements.

Not for much longer.

It’s interesting that while many otherwise intelligent people have fallen for CT nonsense, in the Fake Moon Landing crowd the ‘leaders’ are complete and utter idiots with fraudulent credentials:

Kaysing had to pretend to be an ‘inside engineer’ to try and get respect (and intimidate laymen who saw through his BS). He was never more than a writer.

Ralph Rene also inflated his credentials, claiming to be a physicist and engineer. He was lying.

That guy who Buzz Aldrin slapped (Bart Sibrel) claimed to be a director of all sorts of things but was never more than a videographer for local TV.

Wait a minute – the video of the launch was faked, for NASA admit that the rocket does not even exist! NASA is at it again! That’s proof that there never was a moon landing!

Exasperating nonsense! The government had had access to the Roswell crash technology since 1947.
