Help me eat for a month on $100

I just worked out my cost on my Steel Cut Oatmeal, and a Peanut Butter and Jelly Sandwich. Obviously all the figures I’m providing are for my grocery store, not yours, but the cost should be similar.

If you can stand eating the same things every day for a month…

30 servings of my Steel Cut Oatmeal recipe will run you $8.33
30 PB&J’s will be $12.12 (using 2 tablespoons of PB and 1 teaspoon of J, plus the 2 slices of bread)

That will leave you with almost $80 for dinners and snacks.

30 days worth of eggs (2 eggs per day) = $9.60
30 days worth of rice = $7.19
30 days worth of *canned *black beans = $9.45 (I don’t know how many servings are in a bag of dried beans, so I used canned for my caluclations.)
30 days worth of bananas = $10.35
30 days worth of Ramen Noodles (Whole package) = $7.50
So far I’m only up to $64.54 - grab some fruits and veggies from the Farmer’s Market, some cheap cuts of meat, and I think $100 per month is totally doable.

BTW, all of the calories added up for everything I’ve listed is only 1524.

Wow, that’s amazing. It’s about 3.99 here. How are eggs by you? If you can get them on special (say, 99 cents a dozen), a couple hard-boiled eggs a day would be a good addition of protein, and it’s pretty filling.
