Help me enjoy my stay in Baja Sur

Todos Santos is not (or wasn’t when I was there last) much of a great food place. Art and Beer is fine, but we tried the old “where do YOU eat?” line with the hotel staff, and it didn’t amount to much except cheap. That’s not to say that cheap street/local food can’t be great, it just wasn’t in TS.

Dunno. I’ve been to Todos Santos, but just for an hour or two looking at galleries. Most of my experience is on the opposite side of the peninsula.

But yeah, I’d ask the local gringos rather than the local Mexicans.

Thanks for the info. Yes, we are quite familiar with Yucatan. Arrendajo’s father lives in Cancun from December to April in an apartment that he’s had for about a decade. He lives in the city of Cancun, where locals are, not the touristy areas. He lived there full-time with his wife for 8 years, and Arrendajo helped them move there. They drove from Idaho to Cancun. We’ve been there multiple times and plan on going with kids within a year or so. That is why we didn’t choose to go there for a honeymoon.

So whatever it is it is in Baja next year. We really only have 4 full days there. We’ll rent scooters in Cabo and ride East. We’ll rent a vehicle when we land and drive to La Paz. Go off shore fishing on another day and whatever else we fancy. This location was not my idea. We talked about it last night, and I voted for cancelling, but I think we are sticking to the plan and making the best of it. We’ll report back…next May. If I live that long. Ya never know…

How do you feel about snorkeling? Snorkeling in the Sew of Cortez is pretty spectacular. Try Cabo Pulmo.

Thanks. Yes, I’ve read that there’s excellent snorkeling there. I’m also SCUBA certified, so maybe I’ll venture a little deeper even :D.

Make sure to come back to the thread and give us an after action report.

Will do. Mid May 2017.
