The guy who has very graciously hosted my website, [www.metrodemontreal.com](http://www.metrodemontreal.com) , since its inception is planning to move, so I’ll have to find another provider. It needs to support PHP, mysql, and (right now) a little under 20GB of bandwidth a month. I’m on a very straitened budget, so finding something relatively inexpensive would be nice too. Any suggestions? While websurfing, I found these guys: [http://www.powweb.com/](http://www.powweb.com/) . Do they look credible to you? This is really beyond my expertise, so I would appreciate any suggestions. ---

I’ve heard of POWWEB and don’t know much about it. It’s probably OK, but I can not confirm nor deny this. Techchick recommended [http://www.readyhosting.com](http://www.readyhosting.com) to me over a year ago and I’ve not regretted it. They are $99 for a year for the first domain and half that for any additional domains. They have ColdFusion, something I’m very fond of (not that I know how to use it that well). I’ve got more domains there than I care to mention and so far, no big hassles. I also use [http://www.dixiesys.com](http://www.dixiesys.com) and they seem to be very good, quite cheap, but not with as many bells and whistles. Not as “big and comfy” as readyhosting. (IMO.) ---

I asked a webhosting question a few months ago and someone here kindly directed me to [this site’s message boards](http://www.webhostingtalk.com/). Great resource, and you can just run a search on any web host’s name to see what people think about them. ---

I use Intergenix ([http://www.intergenix.net](http://www.intergenix.net)), have used em for a few years across a couple different sites and never had one problem. Dunno on the rates, though. ---

the webhostingtalk message boards above are a good place to go. Personally I have [http://www.icdsoft.com](http://www.icdsoft.com) and I am thrilled! I have been adminning a site that is hosted there, and good god they are fab. $5 a month, lots of features, a scrummy control panel, and best of all is their support. Any question you might have, answered within 5 minutes. I think I waited 10 minutes one day, or I might just have forgotten to refresh, but that is the complete max I have experienced. They are in Hong Kong I think, but my access to them in europe has been fab, no lags, no breaks no nothing. I strongly reccommend, I am getting my very own account with them next month! ---

I use [burlee.com](http://burlee.com) and [hostlane.com](http://hostlane.com) Very cheap, very reliable (except for 2 days of DNS probs at Burlee last year), very flexible and easy to use.
