There’s also Norman Kent from Spider Robinson’s “Mindkiller”. There’s an amusing scene early on where he addresses his class for the first time. He’s only interested in students who actually want to discuss and learn things about literature, so as far as Norman is concerned, everyone can give himself an ‘A’ and go home.

Dennis Quaid in “D.O.A.”, he’s a teacher of litterature in this movie, and quite a rock-n-roll one.
