A few months ago I heard Garrison Keillor singing a bouncy song which consisted of advice from a mother to son. The chorus went like this:

Don’t la la la
Do la la la
Dum de dum dum dum, dum de dum
And always wear clean under-wear…

Not sure if this was a recent show or a rerun from years ago. No luck searching their site or YouTube. The Dope is often great for crowdsourcing vague, weird stuff - can we get it in one? 🙂

Hmmmmm. Eponymous [song by Tim Wilson](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9g64DQb6aUo)? Does not sound like something Keillor would have been singing.

Did he sing “la la la” or were there other words?

Sorry, I inserted “la las” and “dum de dums” for the actual lyrics that I can’t remember.

And no, it’s not the Tim Wilson song.
