OK, I’ve heard all the Christmas standards by now–_Merry Xmas Everybody_, _I Wish It Could Be Christmas Every Day_, _I Believe in Father Christmas_ and what have you. Now I’m in a rockin’ mood and looking for something a bit heavier…
So can anyone recommend me any good Christmas punk songs or punk covers?

I’ve always liked _Fairytale of New York_, a fractured fairytale, as covered by No Use For a Name. Of course, the original by the Pogues is better, but has a less punkish flavor.

GG Allin’s “12 Days of Christmas” 7" and the Butthole Surfers “Good King Wencenslaus” pic disc 7" are good for a few laughs. Good luck finding them though. I ain’t parting with mine. Another good Fear xmas tune is “Another Christmas Beer” from one of the newer Lps…either American Beer or Have Aother Beer With Fear. The most punk in spirit Christmas song though is Father Christmas by the Kinks.
