(ESL = English as a second language)
I’m doing some voluntary work helping a number of people (adults from various countries) learn English. At present I am looking for free ESL games that can be downloaded and run on computers with no Internet connection. I would be happy with any sort of free ESL software but something game-like is my preference.
So far I have found a few hangman type games and lots of online games (useless in this situation). I would like any help I can get.

I would like to know as well, but this might do better in the Game Room.

My first thread in the game room.
Games to help kids learn to read would be useful too.

search on Zak’s Browser. It’s not ESL but it was commissioned by a grandfather to help hisautistic grandson. The browser is really a portal to a lot of education and entertainment suitable for kids and presented in a simple manner. There are different ABC and other games on there that are probably good for some ESL kids trying to learn English.
