It wasn’t so easy for me. I was Googling for quite some time before I posted the question here. There’s a lot of songs with the word blue in the lyrics. 🙂 Even when I tried to narrow down the year, I was getting 100+ songs. I’m not surprised though that somebody knew it though, although 2 minutes kind of surprised me. The power of group intelligence!

Heh. I had no idea what song the OP was talking about, and even with the answer it wasn’t ringing a bell. But I instantly recognized it form your “lyrical” snippet. 🙂
Had no idea there were any words involved in the song. Listened to it again, and I guess, yeah, there’s a spoken intro with many mentions of the word “blue” and sure enough, there’s apparently verses, too. I have no memory of any of that, but the chorus hook, yep!

Nice, I knew it instantly. It’s a great catchy song.
Eiffel 65 also did a similar song called [Move Your Body.](https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=zQ6HBbyJR34)
Chicago had a dance music station in 2000 that played this song a lot. I loved the station, lots of current club hits all day and some deeper, more underground stuff at night. I can’t remember what they called themselves or the callsign. 92.5 & 7, I think.
[Sandstorm by Darude](https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=y6120QOlsfU) was a smash hit around the same time and played so much, everywhere. If you’re familiar with the song and have never seen the toy trumpet video, you need to [see this.](https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=esMnme69t2M) It’s barely more than a minute long and gets good toward the end so hang in there.

It’s an interesting watch.
