# Help me get my windows taskbar back to normal.

Windows Vista. I have no idea what I have done other than that i had a bit of a mini fit while typing and now the taskbar has gone all funny. Normally the quick launch bar shows three items and there is a drop down menu for the rest. the windows are bunched into two layers sort of in the middle and the menu on the right (volume, date, etc.)which is normally in one layer is bunched together in a 3X3. Having some problems with my meds so my brain is not working properly and I need some assistence.

take your mouse cursor and position it in the top edge so that you see a double headed arrow and drag it down to a single icon height.

This, and there’s a “Lock toolbar” option that will prevent further disasters. Right-click on a blank area of the task bar and the option is in the menu.
