# Help me ID a novel

I thought it was a Nick Hornby book, but I looked through the descriptions of his books and it’s not jumping out.
The main thing I remember is this guy (who is seeing someone at the time, I think) has a crush on this famous or semi-famous woman. She has some private images leak and he, you know, is not longer master of his domain, to those leaks making him more enamored with her.
Somehow they meet and end up getting together.
I remember the style being like Nick Hornby, and I’m pretty sure it’s an English author.
That’s all I remember, other than I liked it and may read it again.

Doesn’t sound like any Nick Hornby book I know, unless you have a very garbled mismemory of _Juliet, Naked_. Or any other book I’m familiar with either, sorry.

Yeah, at first I thought it was Juliet Naked, but that’s just about redoing an album. It was written in his style, though, at least in my opinion.

I’m resurrecting this old thread because I finally tracked down the book. Over the years, I’ve searched for it using my description, then I finally decided to see if one of the AIs could ID it.
Claude AI couldn’t track it down, but it suggested I try Reddit, where they have a sub-reddit that specializes in this. Still no luck.
My brother reached out to some kind of librarian hive mind, and they found the book:
_A Certain Chemistry_ by Mil Millington
I remember it being a fun read, so I’m going to read it again at some point. Whew! That has been bugging me for years!
