# Help me ID this old board game, please?

I remember a board game that I had seen several times in my youth. The object of the game was to become the CEO (or President, or whatever) of the company. You started out on the bottom and had to meet certain requirements to move up to each level in the company. One requirement, I remember, to advance in the upper levels, was that you had to have a certain amount of stock in the company.
The game board had several “rooms” with seats in each. You placed your token on a seat in a room to indicate what level you were at.

What decade was your youth? I remember one from the 70s or early 80s called “Big Deal” that sounds a little similar, but I’m thinking it’s the wrong era.

No, that’s not it. It was a climb within one company.
I saw the game for the first time in the early 80s, although it looked like it had been around a bit before that.

It was called Boss. The tokens were little plastic businessmen. You started out in the mail room, and there were several ways to win–one of which was to buy 51% of the stock.
I had this game probably in 1972 or 73.
