Unfortunately, I only have vague memories of it; I don’t have memory of any specific lyrics. It got pretty decent airplay back in 1997 (give or take a couple of years), but the only thing I can recall about the song is that it was very soft and quiet with almost whispered vocals. It had kind of a creepy vibe to it, like it was being played on a piece of haunted 78 RPM vinyl. (I’m not positive, but I think there were “needle skipping” sound effects in the song). I know that’s not much to go on, but what makes me think it might be identifiable is that I also have an (albeit also vague) memory of the video, which got a decent amount of airplay, too. As I remember, the video was shot in an old surreal, silent film style. I remember thinking that it reminded me somewhat of _Un Chien Andalou_. Ring any bells for anyone? ---
