Can someone identify the whistle bit from [this animation](http://www.dustinland.com/BirdyEpisode1.html)? I know it sounds like the Hamster Dance tune, but I recognize it in this not-spastically-fast incarnation. This song will live on forever in my head until someone identifies it (and even then it might still live on in my head). Thanks in advance for the help! ---

Yup, definitely from Disney’s animated **Robin Hood**. Few weeks back I decided to rewatch it, confuse the Netflix mailers a little bit. Really a great, entertaining movie. But if you watch, that whistling will be stuck in your head, along with one or two other choice tunes. ---

Oh yeah. The Hampster Dance song is the song that the Rooster (Alan A’Dale) sings at the opening titles of Disney’s Robin Hood from 1973. Played (sung) by Roger Miller, as mentioned. ---

I’ll concur with everyone so far, but add that there’s a cool “remix” that opens with the slow version, slides into the ham§ster dance one, and closes out with the slow one. I used to have it, they’ve played it on the Dr. Demento show (nationally syndicated “novelty song” and comedy radio show) a few times.
