# Help me like The White Stripes

One thing that I think gets overlooked is the quality of Jack’s songwriting. He’s simply a superb songwriter, equally at home whether penning heartfelt ballads, old-skool blues (“Let’s have a ball and a biscuit sugar/And take our sweet little time about it” = awesome), or straight-up, Stones-y rock 'n roll. He seems willing to speak from the heart without resorting to the fake-angry posturing that makes so much “alternative” music unlistenable for me.
