# Help me look at the SDMB in color, please.

Well, color me clueless, here. (HA! I kill me!) I get all my SDMB pages black on white. The only color I ever get is blue, for links I haven’t cookied yet. And of course, the SDMB navy blue and yellow banner ad at the top of the page.

Here, let me try posting something in purple and then previewing it.

Nope. Still shows up black on white. And I don’t get any alternating backgrounds for each post, either.

I’ve tried going into internet options and unchecking the color option of Windows colors, but I still get only one color text on one color of background.

And while we’re on the subject, my Spoiler boxes are always unspoiled, errr, spoiled . . . I don’t have to highlight them to read them.

Is this an issue with my browser, or perhaps my OS? I’m running IE 5.50.4807.2300CO on a Windows 95 platform. Can somebody tell me what up?

What about other websites? Can you see the colors in those?

Check to see if you have the “Ignore Colors” box checked in the Accessibility menu (go to Tools \> Internet Options \> General tab).

I enabled “Ignore Colors” to see if spoilers become visible, and they do. Unchecking it brings back glorious colors and hides the unwanted (respoils the spoilers?).

Now I’m going to go off and find out if **raisinbread’s** purple posts annoy me or make me go, “So what’s the big deal?”
