Any Zappa song that mentions Suzy Creamcheese. Or his “Jazz Discharge Party Hats” (with Steve Vai). Not misogynistic like the blues guys (“can’t live with 'em, can’t live without 'em” kind of vibe), but rather by objectifying chicks as sex objects and sluts. Zappa’s one blemish, in the eyes of many fans. ---

For self-pity, there’s “I’ll Cry Instead” by the Beatles or “When a Man Loves a Woman” by Percy Sledge.\* But for pure misogyny, you can’t beat Gordon Lightfoot’s “For Loving Me.” - For some reason, many people think this is a romantic song… but it’s really a long gripe about how horrible women are, about how deceitful and evil they are, and how a man in love can never see how rotten his woman is. ---
