My horse’s nme is Irish, registered Donnybrook L/-\d with the Jockey Club. Wht is Llewellyn Setter? I /-\pologise - my /-\ hs gone out. New keybord tomorrow. **Doug** - I vote for beige goo. StG ---

I must profess a fondness for Woofster. However, I tend to the arty names as well: Chaucer P.D. or petey for short Talis (for Thomas Talis) Or you could go all Python on the guy: Eric (he looks very Eric to me) Cleese (good name for a dog Cleese) Terry (he doesn’t much look like a Terry to me) Or Arthurian: Tristan Arthur Lancelot (Lance in the fields) Or Shakesperian: Willie Macbeth Henry Prospero Puck Oberon (Obie) Lysander Falstaff Just some choices – but I do like Woofster. BTW He’s a handsome guy – and with property to run, he’ll be a happy guy. ---

There is nothing more english than Wenslydale and Stilton and Cheshire and so forth. These names apply to cheese, but why not a dog as well? Well, maybe because: StGermain: Come here Wensleydale! Come here boy! Dog: Voff! Voff! (dogish meaning: oh my god, why did you not pick me a normal name like Rex. Now I am the the big goofball among the other dogs) 😉 ---
