I haven’t gotten him yet but expect to this afternoon. I am awful at naming animals so any help would be greatly appreciated. ---

Greebo (Discworld fans will get this). And hope that he doesn’t live up to it. Seriously, sometimes you have to wait for the kitten to tell you his name. Until then, just call him Furbrain. ---

I always wanted to name a cat Schroedinger and call him Ding for short, but the rest of the family never went for it. Perhaps you can succeed where I have failed. ---

Don’t go for the “Fuzzy” approach. Use something with class. This kitten is going to grow uo into a cat, and they like class. Name it what you want to name it. It will barely tolerate whatever you use. Personally, I like naming them after good writers, first names not last. ---

My dearly departed cat Fluffy, who died last month, had more class than anything. I got her when I six… I’m going to get a kitten sometime around Xmas, I’m hoping. I like the names Gypsy, Daisy, Emma, Leia, Jade and Marie. ---

Wimple. [ul][_]1. Androgenous; [_]2. Easily shortened to create a nickname; [_]3. Both syllables sound out nicely if you’re calling the cat; [_]4. Is a relatively unknown word which lends mystery to complement the whole mysterious/witchy cat genre.[/ul] ---

My favorite male cat names: Archimedes (Archie for short) Kefka “El Gato Loco” (I actually -have- a cat named this. 🙂 ) Spaz Ozzy Rufus Richter Favorite female names: Maria Malicia Roxy Buffy Sugarbelle (I know that one’s a little odd, I still like it. 🙂 ) A couple of androgynous names I really like are: Ashley, (for obvious reasons) Ranma, and “G”. (Just the one letter). You’d have to be an Anime fan to understand the Ranma reference. 🙂 -Ashley ---
