I call Rhapsody ‘Rap’ or ‘Rapper’. Rapture I just call ‘Rapture’, but then I don’t have to stand out in public and yell 'Rapture, heel!". I forgot about Echo - have a cat named that, too! Oh, and I call Taboo ‘Boo’ most of the time. Since she’s yellow, you might also consider: Amber Sunshine Summer or Summertime Topaz ## Happy naming! BTW, Trisha, just went back to bowwow site and noticed that in th U.S. the tenth most popular name for female dog was Tasha. That would make a dynamic duo! 😃 ---

Just as an aside… Shirley I went to that [www.kabalarians.com](http://www.kabalarians.com) site and looked up my husband’s and my name. I am definitely not one to believe in horoscopes or fortune-telling, but I was kinda in awe. They had mine dead-on and had some things about my husband that were true. Now, since I don’t believe that your name predicts or influences your personality, how might this work? trisha ---

I adopted two dogs before, both muts. And I named them the first thing that came to mind, well almost. The first one i named BOO, at first I was gonna call it ugly but that seemed a little mean. The second one I named LUCKY, I found him with his head stuck in a milk carton, poor thing couldn’t get it out, I took it’s head out of the milk carton. He was lucky I was around. So I named him lucky! Was there anything unusual or special about the birth of the little puupy, if so, think of the first thing that popped into your mind and maybe you’ve got a name for it?! ---

Name the beast ‘Killer’ or ‘Fang’ or ‘Butcher’. That way, you give the dog a strong name ; & when you stick your head out the door to call him/her in the evening, all the local feral youth will get the idea that you own Cujo. Was it really dead on, or were there a few things that seemed so perfect that you glossed over the inconsistencies? The way these things usually work is to throw enough mud at the wall that the part that seems true is the part that you remember sticking. I checked “Thomas” and “Tom” and found a couple of things under each that exactly described me–and several more things under each that could most charitably be described as “not in the same universe”. My small college graduating class (39) had 7 members named “Thomas/Tom.” I could see some of each of the other six guys in the “Thomas” description, but it did not really describe any of us correctly. “Oh” the web site says, “But your birthdate and last name _also_ play a part in determining who you are. Just notify us with you last name and birth date and for \* [some outrageous sum of] \* money, we’ll explain all of it to you.” So they lay a bait that matches 50% of the population 50% of the time, and they collect from everyone who actually thinks they have proven anything with their descriptions. * * * Tom~ ---

Oh I forgot? A friend of mine had a small bulldog named “Tv’s Frank”. Any MST3K fans out there will know what I am talking about. The absolute cool in name I have seen in a long while (that being only a few people will recognize it) ---

My son named our mutt Hawking, after the physicist Stephen Hawking. So far, he hasn’t lived up to the name. I call him Hockey. He answers to that name more readily than Hawking. I don’t know why.
