I seem to remember a scene in which some woman was in Max’s apartment. She stood up and said, “excuse me”, at which time Max said, “why, what did you do?” 🙂 ---

Somebody nixs the idea, indicating that “Johnson over there [an African-American man] tried that last week.” Max says “He looks okay.” Other guy, “Yeah, but he was **white** when he came here.” :eek::eek::smack::dubious: ---
