I don’t know how it happened. If my internet window is maximized, it covers the tool bar. It isn’t an F11 issue either.

So as a work around I have just fitted the sizeable window to fit. However the desktop icon that is usually next to the START button is gone. Where did it go?

HELP!! ☹😕

Try moving the pointer to bottom of screen. It should show the up end of a double pointer. Left click & hold & drag upward to display the icon tray.

What version of Windows do you have? On XP, if you go like this–

Start --\> Control Panel --\> Taskbar and Start Menu --\> Keep the Taskbar on Top of other windows

…you can do that. If memory serves, on older versions of Windows it was phrased “Always on top” but it was the same thing. Taskbars, in the Control panel.

Minimize a program and watch where it minimizes to. Does it go to where the task bar should be?
