Help,

I’ve got the win32.blueballs virus. It has managed to attach itself to every important file on my computer. I’ve been searching for a resolution but most virus websites just call it “harmless.” My biggest problem is that it is clogging up my virus scanner.

Is there a solution to this?

Thanks,
Eric

PS I’ve already heard all the jokes.

What virus scanner found the infected files? [Symantec](http://securityresponse.symantec.com/avcenter/venc/data/blue.ball.hoax.html) says it’s a hoax. McAfee and Trend Micro don’t list it at all. Have you tried a different scanner, like [HouseCall](http://housecall.trendmicro.com)?
