Probably because “circling the wagons” is a very human thing to do when you feel that a group you belong to is under attack by outsiders. If someone says something unflattering about a member of your family, you probably get defensive. A YouTube comment thread is not representative of anything except morons who can’t type or think within normal parameters. It’s not even slightly hard to find Muslims [speaking ag](http://www.juancole.com/2005/07/friedman-wrong-about-muslims-again-and.html)ai[nst terrorism](http://www.muhajabah.com/otherscondemn.php) if you look for it. Even the popular could media could do it, if they chose to. ---
