I don’t know why they assume the cavemen would have speech impediments. ---

Mildly funny, and I like the linkages between each episode, but I agree with **Larry Borgia** that their effectiveness in bringing in clients is probably pretty iffy. ---

It certainly helps with name recognition. You associate the cavemen commercials with the name Geiko. I would argue that these commercials alone would be ineffective, as they do little to promote Geiko as a car insurance provider. However, Geiko has a few other ongoing ad campaigns (the lizard, I just saved a lot of money, In the Time it took…) to work in tandem with this campaign. I’d imagine their company has seen a dramatic jump in business since the Gecko. I think the cavemen just keep the name out there. ---

The cavemen should embark on a series of _Coyote vs. Road Runner_-type commercials where they try to catch the Gecko and eat it. They fail abysmally (yet hiliariously) each time of course. ---

Companies typically don’t spend that kind of money & air time on commercials unless they have a darn good idea that they are paying off. …and they are spending some jack on those spots.
