In order to play devils advocate, I thought I would come up to with my own clever placards for the peace marches…here it goes, feel free to add your own: 1) Oil = Jobs 1. The Iraqi people can’t vote their “president” out of office 1. [Unflattering characterature of Bush] You’ll never see a picture like this of Sadaam in Iraq 1. US =/ UN puppet 1. Libya = chair for Commission on Human Rights Iraq = chair Disarmament Conference …is this a UN we should be a part of? 1. Sadaam also considers civilians during his military opperations [Big picture of Iraqi civilians killed in gas attack] 1. Hey man! We done nothing for 12 years and it isn’t working! We’re all out of ideas! [Picture of Ned Flanders beatnik parents in light blue UN clothing] ---

There was a great poster at the NYC antiwar protest today that claimed that an empty warhead was discovered in Washington DC. The poster showed a picture of George W’s empty skull.😃 ---

“Peace in Our Time”. I actually saw, on another website, a picture of a guy holding up a placard saying that, at an anti-war rally. Don’t know if he meant it in an ironic sense or not, and a lot of people won’t get the joke anyway, but I think it would make a good “stealth” counter-protest. To play devil’s advocate, I saw in another thread on this MB about anti war slogans a long list of them. Most of them struck me as vapid, but I did think this one was clever: “These colors don’t run the world”. Presumably it would be printed over an American flag. ---

😕 Against the protests? For them? Wtf… If you’re for the war and trying to make these placards to bash those who are for the war why don’t you respect someone elses opinion on the topic and just use that time somewhat productively to create pro-war slogans rather than just writing stuff that won’t help your cause, rather will make think you’re more of an as\*\*ole.
