**Sarahfeena** , I think you’d do well looking into the [Lo Fi](http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Lo-fi_bands) genre. Though other Plain White Tees songs aren’t Lo Fi at all, that one has the feel. Off the top of my head I’d rec “Jezebel” by Iron and Wine, “Lily Two” by Matthew Pond PA, “A Favor” by Okkervil River, “Worry About You” by Ivy, “Come Home Baby Julie, Come Home” by American Analog Set, “Baby Bitch” by Ween, “No One Will Ever Love You” by The Magnetic Fields, “Someday You Will Be Loved” by Death Cab for Cutie, “Don’t Know When But A Day Is Gonna Come” by Bright Eyes, and “I Am Always The One Who Calls” by Pedro The Lion. ---

_Change_ off the first Blind Melon album, as well as almost the entire \*Nico \* album they released after Shannon Hoon died. I’m also a huge fan of The White Stripes _Lord Send Me An Angel_ right now, even though that’s just an acoustic blues tune and doesn’t really fit the same vibe as what the OP is looking for. Throw in some Violet Femmes too. Some Ben Harper from his first two discs would be really nice too. ---

I think almost all of Belle & Sebastian’s catalog would fit the bill for this, according to some of the suggestions I’ve heard (I’ll admit that I haven’t heard the OP’s song) Off the top of my head… “Fox in the Snow” “Mary Jo” “You Made Me Forget My Dreams” “String Bean Jean” “Beautiful” “Put the Book Back On The Shelf” “Slow Graffiti” Eh, there’s a lot. And, I could be wrong. ---

Radiohead has a few acoustic ballads (not _Creep_), but maybe \*Paranoid Android \* and _Go To Sleep_. My daughter and I love _Swing Life Away_ by Rise Against. ---
